I would recommend that you change to a 25 or maybe better a 700X28 and run the psi at around 90 - 100. Also make sure the tire is properly inflated before each ride. Something is really wrong if you have that many flats - ayou aren't riding off road or through debris are you?

I'd really pay attention next time to where the puncture happens. IE - try and pinpoint the location before you remove the tube from the tyre - so you can see exactly where it's happening. The point about the rim tape is a good one too - I got a few flats after getting the bike back from the shop once - and it turned out they had moved the rim tape slightly in one area so it wasn't positioned properly - and I got a bevy of flats. So check if its on the side, top or inside of the tube where the problem is too.

You shouldn't have any problems with size/weight. I'm about the same (little heavier) and don't have too many problems with flats.

And 23's are OK too - although I run 25's now.

But I'm careful not to ride over curbs

Adrian.
