I put in 310 miles this week to get me to 683. I think I am going to make 800 by 7/31! I need to take a day off though. Maybe two. I did 74 miles today and I am beat. In fact, I have been beat on the last four rides pretty much from beginning to end. I need a rest.

I had a surprise century last month. Funny how that works out. Sometimes centuries just happen. How did yours come about?

And, of course, go for 600!

I had been trying to work up to a century. a couple of weeks ago I did 60 miles, and then I had planned to do 75 miles but I broke a spoke. So the plan yesterday was to try 75 miles once again. It went so well, and I had so much energy left, that I decided to do another 25 miles!

Thanks, fc! I know 800 is an arbitrary number but I am really feeling motivated to go for it. 117 miles during the next week should be a piece of cake, assuming health and weather cooperate. How are you doing this month?

I love how it can work out that way. There are days when you just have everything going right. In my case, i was carbo loading without even knowing it. I had family come to visit so for two days I didn't ride and just ate and ate. Then once they left I went out for a ride and just kept going until 103 miles had passed.

580 miles month to date.

Yesterday was an epic day of solo long-distance riding. 94 miles of hilly suffering so good, I left at 4:30 am and drove 3 hours to enjoy the pain.

Still running a bit slower this month, but I'm fine with that. Still feeling good on the bike. 682 miles mtd currently, and thinking about doing my seventh century for the year this Saturday. Crossed 6k miles for the year this month as well.

I've finished with 700 miles. If I had not gone out of town most of last week I would have about one hundred miles more. I almost missed today due to the weather. I hope everyone has a strong finish today.

614 miles this month. The best month of the year. Lots of climbing, too. August should be epic with several century rides planned.

I managed to finish the month with 841 miles. My goal was 800 and for a while I didn't think I'd make but here I went and and surpassed it. I thank all the posters to this thread for motivating me!
