Tom could use your support

http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...he-Cardiac-CCU

Don't know how many of you actually stick your head into the Lounge, but I figured this was serious enough to warrant a call to arms, so to speak.

Lord, please look after your child Tom, give him Your strength, please give peace and comfort to his loved ones. I pray that You will guide Tom to a speedy recovery as he is still very needed by people he has yet to meet. Give him Your peace, make his sleep more restful, and guide his care-givers in Thy will.

Amen

Thanks everyone. I was surprised to even have a get well thread in P&R going. I appreciate the prayers and concern from all of my friends.

MissB, you can post where ever you'd like, and I enjoy your posts here in C&A. They help keep me motivated, and you've formed into a nice leader here in the C&A community. This is a good thing.

Tom,
Thinking about you from afar. God works in mysterious ways, and I'm just finally coming back to accept that - even your pain is motivation for some of us. Hang in there, Neil and I haven't had a chance to ride with you yet and I'd hate to miss that opportunity, whenever it may come.

Well, I'm back in the room. Things went, well, reasonable. I won't say well.

Good News: Coronary Arteries: Clear, and the size of the I10 coming into downtown LA or the 401 coming into Toronto for our Canadian Members. No blockages. That's the good news

Bad news: I now have issues with the left atrium and ventricle, both are damaged significantly. I definitely had a heart attack. My coronary output is floating between 25 and 30%, down from my 70+% cardiac output of just a few weeks ago. That's a significant loss of function, and means I get to start a long road back. Well, life without challenge is just coasting toward the grave, and I have a new challenge: Get my cardiac function back to or as near back to where it was as possible. Tomorrow, the plan is to do the transesophogeal imaging and then cardiovert my heart with synchronized electrical pulses. They need to make sure I have no clots sitting in the heart, first though, so I don't have a pulmonary embolism or stroke as a result of the cardioversion process.

This is a risk of the cardioversion, by the way....I could have a sudden stroke.

What hospital are you in?
