Ahhhh...The Feel of Success!!

Some sore muscles and rejuvenation! I got out to the Edgar Felix Memorial Path in Wall, NJ today with my sister. Our plan was to ride the entire path, even if we had to stop for a break here and there. Started out slow and took a while to get into the groove, but we managed to bike the entire 10+ miles today. Our best was 4+ miles in around 23 minutes...I know beans for some, but this was a great accomplishment for me. I haven't been able to bike 15 minutes or more than 3 miles this year, so I passed that hurdle and onto the next. I can see my big goal up ahead and need to conquer the little goals to get there.

Feels good to be biking and today was a great day! I really enjoy this sport.

glad to hear of another riders sucess , dont belittle your acheivement even if it is as you say beans to others im sure for a lot of us we all had to start somewhere , I remember when i started on the path to cycling again even 2 miles would have felt like quite a distance to me too and now im training for my first 60 miler which again is beans to other but as time goes on you will build up strength to do longer rides if you stick at it 10 miles will also be beans to you

That's great. Keep riding and you will be amazed at the quick progress you'll make. At 315 pounds, I was routinely doing 35 mile hilly rides last year, and I started about where you are now.

I know people who can't (so they claim) bike ten miles. And I know a lot of people who would just give up after a few minutes of starting out slow. Before long you'll be starting a thread about your first century...

well done:) agreed don't belittle your achievements cos you could be doing nothing and everybody has to start somewhere so keep it up!! :)
