My daughter nearly wet herself Laughing ....

A couple of days ago decided to wear all my lycra shorts and jersey, DMT shoes and go for a pretend "Tour de France" ( about 15 kms )

I walked out on the verandah where she was with my wife and she nearly fell off the chair laughing !!!!!!

She"s about 40 years and I"m 64 and 95 kg...can"t we have some fun now and again......

Those tights do fulfill a purpose. I too was a little bashful about them at first until I went to watch a major charity ride and saw some folks much bigger than I riding in them.

I never looked back.

If I'm lucky it's a weekly occurrence here

By lucky, it means I'm riding.

Stopped a neighbor in her tracks the other day -- I think in shock. They are not used to seeing full roadie attire here and I don't spend much time on this road.

Plenty of roadies elsewhere around here, but many people just drive around not noticing cyclists on the road at all.

I was tempted to get one of the US Postal Team knockoffs. Size is a concern. Also, how good can the kit be if it sells for so little?

My wife, kids, everyone still laughs. I don't mind.

We use it to our advantage at work. When we raise money for the MS150, we take a team picture in kit. Then we let everyone know if they do not donate we will send them a picture weekly. We have raised quite a bit.

You asked for it!!!!
I'm the blonde guy smart enough to hide in the back. This was the first day of the MS150. We raised $6000 at Entergy Arkansas and $50000 all together as Entergy Nuclear South.

Just take a long ride (a century+) in anything but lycra and she'll get another laugh at the way you walk with all that chafing in the groin and inner thighs. I've seen those "double sling shots" that most women wear and I've always found them to be a little funny looking, too. I guess they also serve a purpose.
