A Little More Weekend Fun

Sunday 04 25..42 mile SART ride with Gina and El Monarcha. Ran into Ken and Vickie, near Imperial. Ken isn't a member but I was more than happy that he says he views the thread. Both very nice and she's just starting out (10-15 milers) but we all know that the both of them will soon be doing centuries. Down the road I ran into Julius. Informed me of the upcoming ride (I don't know the name of the ride) but a big feast at Yorba Park. Last year they gave jerseys for the very reasonable entree fee ($70 maybe?). Ride and jersey? Wow!

At the coast we ran into Bad Bob and Greg the Legend. I was shocked to hear Greg IS AVAILABLE LADIES!! He rides and has good taste in bikes, what else is there to know? Haha!

What was quite entertaining to me is that George had been bugging me for a long time to hand him the recorder to shoot some footage. So I did and after a couple of miles and lots of shakey footage, he was crying that his arm was tired. Hmmm, a good upperbody workout I guess! Hahaha! I will be adding the video later on, just too funny!

Ken

Vickie, I dig the second wave in the video (while on the bike footage)

Julius, serious ride without the kids and buggy

Yes ladies, this dude is available and looking for a ride partner of the FEMILE type! The Legend Greg!

The soon to be, not so Nice Guy Bob!

This dude hung onto the back of the B-Train for a bit.

El Monarcha

Second camera man, the entertaining George.

Hey thanks! I appreciate all the feedback. I've posted about 40+ videos with maybe 3 comments total and one rating on youtube. And I'm lucky to to get one or two comments in the forums

Sad but I'm begining to think I'm wasting my time.

If you're posting for comments, then yes, you're wasting your time. If you're posting to hopefully inspire people who look but rarely comment, then you're kicking @$$.

Thanks for posting, keep it up!

The trail (Santa Ana River Trail)is 30 miles one way, 60 roundtrip out and back.

There is another 10 miels across PCH that is 36 one way and 72 roundtip (San Gabriel Trail) but not quite as nice.

Sometime we will ride the 60 mile trail, across Pcaific Coast Hwy to the other trail to make a 100 miler.

Right now and through winter we do 42 milers. When the time changes (just did) we increase the rides to 55-60. But Gina has been busy so we haven't increased the mileage just yet.

He is right. You are getting people involved, whether you know it or not.

Ya Beanz, we don't always comment. I do watch, and enjoy the vids though. I like how you get the personalities involved with the little interview process. I would like to get a video camera myself sometime, but right now I'm saving to get a new computer (Garmin 500) for the bike. The unit I have on it now is starting to become unreliable. Just yesterday on a club ride it decided to throw away the first 30 miles of info on me. Oh well, any excuse to get new bike stuff is always a good excuse.

Hahah, it's a tradeoff! I've got two FLip recorders but a $14 computer on my bike....When I got the Flip, Gina was suggesting that I get a Garmin, I chose the Flip instead ($140).

I don't need a Garmin, I just trade videos for graphs!

Thanks! I do wonder about the crowd's opinions. I feel like one of those lousy comics with a tough crowd!
