One of those days

Quick rant just to get this off my chest (but it's no big deal). I had one of those days where at almost every intersection I had to stop and unclip (where normally I do a trackstand and go). It got so bad that I couldn't help but laugh about it. Either my timing was off, or I pissed off the traffic gods. Plus the MUP was really crowded today (great weather in DC). It was impossible to get into any kind of rhythm.

Rant over...... It was a great day for a ride. I took my time and enjoyed the sunny weather. It was actually great to see all the people out and about. It might be my imagination, but it seems like more people are cycling around my area this year.

Bikes: I never learned to ride a bike. It is my deepest shame.

I guess all the people on the MUP in DC were folks who weren't watching hockey! HA HA HA HA!

Anyhoo, sounds like you need to practice your longer trackstands. See if you can download some old 'Match Sprint' track racing videos to inspire you.

Maybe you are getting faster and the timing between the lights is now off.
