My wife Cindy Got a Bicycle today - YAY!

The official new Bike pose - White garage door, pedals set correctly, sprocket side out - did I miss anything? Yes, it both looks small, and see how low the seat is? <GRIN> It's a 2010 Giant Suede DXW (21 speed - size regular)

Here is Cindy standing by her new Bicycle - as you can see - she needs a smaller Bike!!

So, now I need not worry bout my Bike always taking me away from my best Friend!

You were one of my examples when I was suggesting she get a Bike Now to work on the forum...

And yes, we took our bikes to a school parking lot and she rode around the lot for bout 25 minutes (grass only 3-4 times) and put on 2+ miles <GRIN>

Well we are about to go on a short ride, I'm still pretty wabbly on the bike. I have not ridden in over 30 + years so it is taking time to get use to it again.

Awesome! I got a bicycle for my wife about a year ago, and we've been riding together ever since! 28 miles yesterday, and 20 today ... and we get to spend time together spinning away, chatting and being outdoors, while getting fit. I've gone from 270 to 215, and she's dropped 40 pounds. Life is good!!

Go get 'em, and enjoy riding together!!

Yes I'm Cindy, Faye is my middle name. Well Peter told you I would never ride in the rain, I don't know where he got that idea, unless it is storming and YEP I won't ride in the storm. I'm terrified of storms especially on a bike. I did over 2 miles today in the sprinkle of a nice cool rain and I did fine. It is amazing how weird it is that I have trouble turning in a small circle. Why is that? I feel like I'm leaning into the turn and I realize I'm not, but all in all I did great a little out of shape, but I don't do a lot of excercising so 2 miles is not too bad for a short fat girl. lol I will enjoy riding with my best friend and hubby. We were talking today saying that we can go boating and then come home and take a nice ride somewhere. We have a lot of bike trails around us so all I have to do is get my short little legs use to riding again and my breathing in check and away we go. I'm surprised my butt doesn't hurt that bad, I thought if anything would hurt it would be my butt. lol I'm still on the fence about fenders, it takes away the look of the bike, but I guess if I'm going to get hosed down because I have gunk on my back then I may reconsider, but I think that may just be a couple of days. So do you think my seat is down far enough? I actually wanted it lower but they told me no. Hey my feet touch the ground when I stand so I'm doing good on height wise don't cha think?

You know that is just wrong, I go into the grass only because I can. I just wanted to see how it felt under my tires, so what is wrong with that? I never fell or anything, oh and I talk to my bike and tell it to turn turn turn. Dang that was hard. lol

You're a lucky man, Peter! Getting the pegs fixed, choosing to improve; and have a "special someone," to ride with.

I hope you both have many happy miles, and memories, together.... They are always more meaningful, when they are accumulated together.

Awesome! Cycling is a very good way to spend time together, my girlfriend and I love cycling the canal path, its relaxing and we just take our time. When I met her 3 years ago, she didn't even own a bike! She used the spare MTB I had then, and loved it...so I bought her a Trek 7100WSD. Though we both are active in the warmer months, we both put on much more weight than normal this winter, so I see a very active cycling summer for us this year

I wish you many happy miles together She looks pretty happy with her new bike, and I know the feeling! lol
