Saddles. =/
as a disclaimer: yes, I realize saddle threads are kind of annoying, and I am sorry.
hi gals and guys. I've been having extreme amounts of discomfort in my perineal area, as well as numbness in my buttocks. my saddle I'm currently riding is a Fizik Pave' Sport, and I think it's the primary reason for this, as flexibility and time spent riding don't really work in my case, as I'm pretty stupidly flexible and have spent a lot of time in the saddle.
my old bike before it/I got hit by a car had a San Marco Ponza, and it felt a little better. for my replacement saddle, I'm thinking of going with a San Marco Rolls, as I see very few complaints about this saddle; now I realize that saddles are dependent upon the person, but if a large enough group prefers the Rolls, I have to figure that it's probably an okay option. =P
I also think some of my pain comes from my cycling shorts, as they were bought when I was skinnier, and I probably need to go up to a XL rather than a L. however, this saddle bothered me even when I was at a lower weight than I am now, so I don't honestly think that is the sole problem, at least.
anyways, does anyone have any opinions on the Rolls, or any other suggestions for somewhat heavy(6'1'', 209lbs[mostly fat, it would seem.]) riders?
thanks, all!

Get your ass measured. Get a saddle that's the right width for your sit bones, and your usual position. (As you lean forward, the distance between sit bones narrows. So road bikes, with an extreme aggressive position, can have really skinny saddles. Bikes where you sit upright require a wider saddle, for the same rear end.)
I ride, and very much like, a Brooks B-17.

The rolls is a classic and has been sold for over 30 years for one reason it works.. I have a couple rolls saddles on my road bikes and they are perfect for me..
Try to get the smooth top, the black models seems to be a little softer than the white ones, don't know why..
The rolls are 147mm x 280mm.. The regal which is a little firmer is just a hair wider at 150mm..
lots of + reviews: https://www.roadbikereview.com/cat/co...2_2509crx.aspx

thanks, socalrider!
I pulled the trigger on the San Marco Rolls with steel rails as it was less than $50, and I hope to get it soon and try it out.
this Fizik is causing a lot of pain; I feel like I could go two hours if it were not for the saddle pains!

I tried several until I finally was happy with the Selle SMP. They are kind of spendy for the firmer, non-squishy models, and they take some time to get properly adjusted and your body has to get used to the pressure being a bit different, but what I noticed almost immediately, which made me stick it out until I adapted, was that I had no pressure anywhere I didn't want pressure.
