Well - I finally made the plunge...

After losing 175 lbs and having 163 lbs more to go - I finally purchased a Bike. I have been working with a Personal Trainer and she encouraged me to get into biking. A friend of mine put together a strong mountain bike - but after a week of riding, my butt and "boys" were pretty beat up. By chance, I was by a Bike Shop and the salesman suggested that I try out one of their Specialized Globe Carmel bikes.

It's like heaven. XL frame - nice seat - suspension - I can actually concentrate on riding instead of pain. Someday, I'll probably feel more comfortable/lighter and actually get a road bike - but for now - My Globe Carmel is extending my cardio a LONG ways.

So I guess that officially makes me a part of the group now! I do enjoy biking - but not so much the inclines, right now!

Congratulations! On everything! I don't like riding upwards, either, and I probably never will, but it has gotten easier anyway

Ha! The only thing I hate worse than hills is hills with a head wind.

Congratulations.

Congratulations.
I had one of those head winds you talk about today...Pedaling DOWNHILL at a pace that on flat ground should keep me around 16mph, and I was barely getting 12-13... That was 1/3 mile from home at the end of the ride. But, I got out in the wind and got some cycling in

Congrats on the awesome weight loss, and the bike will make exercise a lot more fun
