Short Rides along the Great Allegheny Passage

Wednesday is my day for harp lessons. My harp instructor lives in Perryopolis, near the Layton trailhead. I've been throwing the trike in the minivan for a short ride after my lesson.

I decided to explore the area around the trail and post my rides and findings in Blogger: http://fatladyonabike.blogspot.com/ The rides aren't physically taxing, and I do tend to drone on, but hopefully the posts will contain enough to hold your interest.

I'm also thinking about using it to store my responses to inquiries about the Passage and C&O. Please visit and let me know what you think.

School's out, so Monday and Tuesday Libby and I hit the road and went to Cumberland, Md to ride the C&O. We decided (or she conned me) to pick up her friend, TJ and camp out overnight. We rode out 9 miles, camped and rode back to town. Then we hauled bikes up to the Eastern Continental Divide and ride 25 miles back to town along the Passage.

The C&O segment is posted in my blog. The Passage ride is forthcoming.
