My First Century

I rode my first Century yesterday. It was quite hilly, but the long climb at mile eighty just seemed personal! :twitchy:

Overall, I had a great time, and learned a good lesson: Wear sunblock!

Pictures here.

Wow!!! Great pictures and story. Thanks for sharing.

I just started riding again last August and yesterday rode my first century through the foothills of No. CA. No pictures though.

Second that lesson on sunblock. My arms are a bit red.

Wow, same year as the 4th Council of Constantinople and before the Vikings!

Congrats on the ride! Feels good to get the first one under your belt, eh?

It's hard to tell in the picture, but the "1" fell off.

Yes, the first century was good. Looking forward to the second one now.

Most of my sunburn is on my ankles and feet!
I was wearing sandals.

Congrats on the first century!!!! Great pictures too. The Double Cola sign board brought back memories of my childhood in the early seventies in central California. Mom always bought a lot of Double Cola because it was on sale. When we moved to Oregon, they did not have it here, so I wondered if it was still around. Your pictured reminded to look it up, and there they are, still making the stuff. Sorry for the trip down memory lane, it was just cool to find out that they have survived all these years.:)

Wow, great job, lots of climbing too!

Atleast the organizers were nice enough to keep the stations open for you. Gina and I once did a century on our tandem where only a few riders chose the century. We got back and all the 25 milers ate EVERYTHING! That aint right!
