GA riders - Beautiful Back Roads Century this weekend

For those in Atlanta or anyone willing to make the drive, the Beautiful Back Roads Century is this weekend. This ride starts off at the Anheuser Busch Brewery in Catersville, GA and benefits the Hickory Log Men's Home. There will be plenty of food and beer after the ride. It's supposed to be one of the best group rides in GA. I have signed up to do the 65 mile ride. The weather looks great for this Saturday. Should be a nice turnout! If you go, then please let me know. I need some riding partners for this ride.

I'll be there. It is my second year riding the BBC. Last year it rained from about the 15 mile point to the finish. It'll be much nicer this year. I am riding with a couple of friends. We too, are riding the 65 mile option. We'll likely bike at a 14-15 mph pace. I'm sure my friends won't mind if you join us. Just let me know.

Yes. We'll be ready to ride at / by 8:00. Generally speaking, we like to be done before it gets too hot. I'll PM my contact information.

I don't know if it is better or worse. It is only a 1 day ride vs. a week long ride on BRAG. It is organized the same way with routes, SAGs, etc. The difference is the party after the ride with the meal and beer included in the entry fee.

Wow! What an awesome group ride. Tons of cyclists were there. We had terrific weather although the heat started to intensify around 11am making the last hour a little miserable. Sorry I missed you adanthang. I was able to latch onto a nice paceline for about 13 miles. Here are the stats from the ride: https://connect.garmin.com/activity/49513171

I highly recommend this ride to anyone for next year.

Sorry 88z. Had a technology malfunction. I'm glad you had a great ride. The weather was perfect this year and it was a great ride.

Sorry I missed both you and Missbumble. I hope you had a great ride as well.

We should coordinate a Clydes/Athena ride for the GA folks soon. Silver Comet Trail?
