Resurrecting this thread:

My TT Training stats from today. http://connect.garmin.com/activity/68492093

My wife and buddy are participating in the Frozen Tundra Time Trial on the Silver Comet Trail this Saturday. It's a 10 mile race (5 miles out and back). My GPS kinda went wonky on mile 9. There is no way I burned 65,000 calories and I averaged right around 20.3mph for the ride. It was quite windy today.

Stats from my first TT.

They advertised it was a 10 mile TT but it was actually 12 miles. GPS cut out a bit but according to my official time I averaged 20.6mph. My wife averaged 20.3mph. She's fast!

About time Spring hits, I'm tired of the cold

Just a 45 minute ride around the house. Slow ride, but the goal is to keep the heart rate in zone 2.

First brevet of the year with the Ontario Randonneurs.
Snowed all day on top of ice covered roads....it was the hardest and slowest 200k i've done to date.

Reviving an old thread since I gots me a Garmin now.

First ride of 2012, 50 miles. Windy but sure was tough for a flat trail course. Good thing Gina was feeling under or she'd probably have dropped me like a bad habit.

http://connect.garmin.com/activity/139745384

BTW, others have asked about the actual charge life on my Edge 500 (mfg claims 18 hours). So far I have 12 hours of use and still at 30% charge left.

Never posted on this thread. GREAT idea, though.

Yesterday's ride. See if you can locate the wrong turns -- they are pretty obvious. First time trying that route, but I will know better next time.

Today's recovery ride, a.k.a "the usual."

Well Gina was sick so I rode alone in the afternoon, about 2:45. Started out nice but got cooler and cooler as I climbed (2,585 gain in 8.5 miles). Felt ok considering I was suffering on yesterday's 50 flat miler.

I have been riding with a local club, hoping this makes me better in the long run. Riding with others seems to make me push harder. Local ride on saturday to keep the thread going.

First ride in a while. So I found out that when the temp is in the mid 30's, it really brings out my childhood asthma. Body felt fine; lungs not so much.

Here is today's ride with my wife and I's new Garmin Edge 305.

http://connect.garmin.com/activity/141609935

I really like the amount of data it allows me to see. I can spot right where those three dogs came out afterme just by watching the heart rate.

Actually 50 miles. I tested my Edge 500 on it's first charge. MFG says 18 hours, I let it run dry after 16 hours. I lost the last two miles of the ride when the Garmin shut off.

50 miles 16.4 average with friends.

Did just under 33 miles with my 11 yr old today. It was a little chilly but well worth it.
