Ticks suck.

Just got back from ye olde immediate care facility. Late last night I found a tick embedded deep in my stomach. Since my boy had lyme disease last year we're pretty confident the ticks on my property and in the area are all going to carry lyme. so I went to see the doc. Doc prescribed some doxycycline given that I am not sure how long the thing was embedded.

This is my first time taking doxy.. This stuff is evil! Stomach cramps like I've never felt and some hardcore nausea. Seems to be fading now though.

Why am I posting this here? Years ago when I rode the mtn bike a lot I would pick up ticks pretty much every day. But the incredible spread of lyme disease makes this something to worry about. So coat your fabrics with permethrin and keep vigilant for any ticks that find their way to your skin. If you get it within 24 hours you will most likely be fine.
