Me too. 508 Miles for March. At least it looks like we're through with the rain for a while, that should help getting the miles in this month.

I'm 2 for 3 so far this year. I fell short by about 25 miles in February due to travel.

275 miles for march. Not bad for me here in NY and about 150 more miles than March of last year. April is getting a slow start though with this rain.

I'm not ready for 500 miles in a month, can I steal this idea and make a 100 or 200 mile a month club? Maybe give some other milestones for us "just getting back into the saddle" to aim for and graduate from.

Steal the idea, and make it your own. Start out doing however many you can (keep track of each ride), and then try to beat it each month. I use Facebook notes to keep track of all of my rides, and as much info as I can. I should just use my computer...

500 miles in a month, at, an average of 15mph for me, gives 33.3 hours a month on a bike. Better than an hour a day. Where do you guys find that much time?

I'm able to commute during the week, so that helps out quite a bit. Adding longer ride(s) on the weekend rounds out my week.

Hit the 800 mile mark yesterday, now going for 900 miles. This will be my best month of riding since I started.

I start early in the morning, about 5am. Ride 2.5 hrs, home shower change, off to work, I commute 1 mile, ride for 1.5 hr after work in the spring, summer, and fall.
Longer rides on my day off, Sunday. It works out to about 350-450 a week.

So yes I get 500 a month.

If I am up and out the door at 5:00 AM I am asleep in my chair at 3:00 PM. I envy your energy level. Where do I sign up?

Just thought I'd join the challenge. I have 448 miles so far this month. With 4 days left I should be able to do it.

Start by setting your alarm to 4 am, program your coffee maker to have coffee made, lay out your gear, and pump your tires the night before.
Then just go for it. The first week or so will be tough, then it gets to be second nature.

It's really the best time to ride, light traffic, cooler in the summer, less wind in the spring, and you get to see the greatest time of the day, sunrise.

Good luck!

I'll give it a shot for May thru October. I ride for pleasure, and Jan thru April was no pleasure around here. Just 296 miles for first 4 months. 500 miles in May would be a big boost. And speaking of early morning ride, that is the only way to go during July/August. Although 8:00 AM is early enough for me.

After I joined this I only did another 83 miles. so that brings me to a grand total of just over 303 miles. Unless I can do 200 miles in the next 3 days, it ain't happening. But I will try to do at least 100. Then set a goal for next month to top that. I've never done this many miles in a month before, so its a good start at least.
