Starting Weight 9/1/2010 - 241.5 lbs
01/03/11 - 216.5 lbs
01/10/11 - 212.5 lbs
01/17/11 - 216.5 lbs

Not a good week. "Snowmageddon 2011" closed my gym and my office for 4 days last week. The Packers played a big game on Saturday night. I didn't exercise or eat right all week. That said, it is out of my system. I worked out this morning and am ready to get back on track.

Background: I was 310 for much of last year.

Now: I came in at 278.6, down four pounds from last week. Honestly I don't know how. I'm restricted in what I can do while my knees heal. But I'll take it. This is the first time I've been below 280 since late 2008.

Another good week here.
1/10/11 ---> 279.0
1/17/11 ---> 274,9

I managed to eat too little food a couple of days, that resulted in an evening I ate 300 grams of chips.
This weeks goal, another 2 lbs and finally get out on my bike ( the ice have melted).
I'm now improved my distance to 3,8 km in 30 minutes on the treadmill.

Not working out for atleast a week because of my illness and the entire family was sick also. Last Friday was one of those top five days - top five worst days from being sick. It ranked right up there with the day i first had gout. Hope the rest of you have avoided the flu.

10/19/10 - 368
1/17/11 - 353.6

Heaviest - 304.5 a few years ago, 264.5 when I got serious in April '10.

01/01 - 210.5
01/08 - 209.5
01/15 - 210.5

This bouncing around has to stop, and stop now.

The new WW program has be a little off-balance. It's focus on protien, fruits and vegetables has eliminated a lot of my formerly low-point go-to foods and the things I need to replace them with are either less convenient (no more Fiber One or Quaker granola bars) or don't stick with me long (most fruits). Plus I've had a hard time shaking the habit-forming eating patterns of the holidays. I don't mean to make excuses - I know the reasons for my poor performance, and I take responsibiliy for them. And now I feel like I'm ready to recharge and begin anew.

1/10- 250.2
1/17- 247.3
1/24 (goal)- 245.0

I didn't manage to get any workouts in this weekend, so my weight plateaued about mid-week. Hopefully there won't be any snow to deal with this weekend.

Indeed, using fruit as a snack only buys me maybe 1/2 hour or so before I'm hungry again. I guess I'm not the kind of guy that is full after eating an apple

Out of curiosity, can you just keep doing the Old WW program? I mean, if it works, it works, despite not being the newest/greatest invention.

As for holiday eating patterns...well, hell - I think we've all been there. Just a couple off weeks ago, I lost complete control on eating - with no real good reason why.

Starting 7/4/10 303.6

1/3/11 286.4
1/10/11 287.6
1/17/11 287.2

Got it going the right way. Now I just need to deal with it and ride. S'posed to snow tonight. The rain tomorrow ought to remedy that.

I really wish I could eat fruit. It seems any kind of sugar just makes me hungrier. Fiber One Original is a basic staple for me. I've tried the other versions but they taste too sweet for me and they set me off.

1/7/11 217.4
1/10/11 214.6
1/17/11 214.6

Don't have an answer. Been hitting the weights and ridin the excercycle hard this week. Lots of ice and snow on the raods most of the week. Also careful to not eat sweats and drinking water only.
Not about to fold tho. Will crank it up a notch this week. Still going for the -4.6 by the 24th.

Did good last week weighed SAT and was 295. Then I sat around and watched football and snacked all weekend. Weighed today at 299. Not real happy about that. Got a good work out in this morning which helps but need to tighten up the diet for the weekend. Good luck this week.

last week I was 288.

This week 284! I'm still recording all the food I eat and I walk each day for at least 45 minutes. As well I shoveled snow twice last week and that added 2 1/4 hours to my fitness last week. Even though the snow eats into my cycling times, the shoveling is a heck of a workout. Even better, I ate pizza on Saturday and it was delicious. There was no way I was giving up pizza so I ramped up the physical activity to earn it.

My goal this week is another 2-4 pounds while recording what I eat and walk for at least an hour each day.

I could, but it would take any degree of precision out of it, since the online database of points per food item would no longer work. And any new information about foods would likely be "off" a bit. I think I'd rather focus on this hard for a couple of weeks and do my best to follow it and not screw up, and see where that takes me, before bailing on it. I know 99% of my failures over the past few weeks are my own, and when I try to tie them to the new program, what I really mean is it takes more time and effort for me to follow the program than it used to. And that's something I just need to get over.

1/10/11 - 228.8 lbs
1/17/11 - 230.2 lbs

This week I will:
- Drink 0 calories
- Workout 5 sessions

As a side note I quit dipping this past week... As great a feat as that is this is a hard time diet wise. But I have a normalcy going now so hopefully I can get the scale headed the right way!

I am thinking that my scale is out of whack. I weighed once this morning, at 262, then about 10 minutes later reweighed was 263.8. I am going to replace the scale because of its inaccuracy and varying weights. Any recommendations?
