My Raw Footage Response to Freigthtrainignuphill

Well, "Freighttraininguphill" posted raw footage in her video climbing suffer fest. So I figured it was time for a response. I decided to push myself a bit on GMR, only the lower 4 miles. I was doing ok till I encountered FryDaddy. For those that don't know, FryDaddy is a 138 lb super climbing animal that lives on GMR. Well, he is up there every time I go. He makes most riders look bad and I know he let me win the sprint haha!

One poster (BillyDon)noticed that I always wear black sock so today,in his honor, I wore my white sucks with Rubba-Duckeys haha!

COOL! Great footage! Thanks for posting that! It looks like you're climbing pretty fast there

I may have another climb video to post next month if everything works out right. It's only .8 mile, but it's 9.2% average grade, 16% max grade, and almost 400 feet of climb in that short distance. I climb it every couple months to test myself after losing a few pounds.

The forecast for today was 75! A little chilly for me but nice enough.

It's funny but I like the trip up. The trip down is only cause I have to get back.

I was holding 12 mph at times. Feels fast to me but that's FryDaddy's cruising speed. I'm huffing and puffing while he sings Sesame Street songs.

Damn! Talk about demoralizing. When that guy flew by me in my video I just put my head down until he was out of sight. I didn't want to look at him. Of course, even when the weight's all gone there's gonna be Strong Climbers out there passing me up at warp speed

I was able to hear the increase in your effort after you uphifted and really pushed hard. That's why I LOVE raw footage

Yeah, FryDadd is fast. If you've sen the threads on the Tuesday Time trials, he's the guy that wins just about everytime. I think he's been beat twice in the last several months. So I don't feel bad "TRYING" to keep up with the guy.

I pushed hard at that point cause I knew it was over.

Sounds like he is the epitome of a Strong Climber!

If I make a new video next month I'll push hard at the end too.

Yup, but he is 138 lbs and I'm about 250 right now. But even if I went down to my lowest of 220, he'd still kill me!

I'm trying to figure out how much that guy who passed me in my video weighs. I must admit I do enjoy watching him ride though. I love watching people climb.

I will say that getting the weight down helps as we all know. One of my ride buddies (Grrlyrida) lost 20-30 lbs (I'm guessing, don't recall zactly) when we were training for Ride Around the Bear about 1 1/2 years back. She started out slow then ended up spanking one of my ride partners on a climb after her weight dropped.

Hmm, now that I look back at the video and stills, I'm trying and he's not!

Sounds like my video. That guy looked like he was riding effortlessly, and he either wasn't breathing hard or held back until he passed like I know many cyclists do
