My rides
Just wanted to post up a pic of the new bike. I know its nothing special. But its mine and I enjoy it!
I've been riding the blue 950 for a while and decided I wanted a road bike. Since I have other things I have to spend money on (kids, house, food, etc) I went with an older model. Every review I've read has been positive for a rider of my level and mindset - which is fun & fitness.
First thing I did with the 1000 was get her tuned up. I got her out of the shop last night and did a quick 12 miles. I think the 950 is about to get relegated to pulling my daughters detachable tandem. (any bets on how many posts it will be until someone suggests turning it into a commuter?)
Cant decide on names though. Its either Butch & Sundance or Blues Clues & Ol' Yeller

I vote for "Blues Clues & Ol' Yeller". Also, that 950 looks like a commuter already. It has a mirror, headlight, and what looks to be slick tires. Or are you talking about adding a rack and fenders?

Ya know I had meant it in more as a joke regarding a practical purpose beyond dragging my daughter around. But looking at it, I realized you are absolutely correct. It actually already is 90% set up for commuter/errand duty. With not much $$$ at all it could be a really handy "errands about the neighborhood" bike!
