So long to my Clydeness, but never goodbye.

Haven't been posting here much for quite some time, but thought of the place this morning when I weighed in at 193#. I have been under 200 for a few weeks now and anticipate getting under 190# during racing season (I am 6'4").

I started out mostly riding my MTB on the MUP in September 2008. This forum was a great place to find support and share common experiences with others who would not quite fit in Schleck's bibs. I started out at around 260#, was on BP meds and could barely manage 15 miles on the MUP without a break.

I chose to focus on cycling as a sport and after progressing through the various levels of local group rides, joined a race team and have started racing with them this season. For me this worked as weight loss was not the only focus. What ever my race results being off the BP meds and dropping the weight has been like being reborn at 45...... that said I will win a stupid race.

So thanks to all for being here and sharing. This forum can help if you let it.

me in late 2007 before cycling... perhaps not shocking that I did not like being photographed.

my first race as a cat 5.

Good for you, that is a great achievement on a number of fronts. Not the least of which is as adding many years to your life.

Good luck with the racing.

Hey Beanz, I heard on the other side of the interweb that you do not like skinny people. While I do not consider myself all that skinny, I have noticed that you do not respond to my posts anymore.

I was even going to ride GMR with you once. Where is the luv man?
