200 Mile per Month - May Edition
I managed to make >100 miles last month so the new goal is 200, which Big Clyde has for himself so I'm starting this thread to allow those who want this level of challenge to post their mileage.
Today is 5/1/11 so we all start at 0.

I'd like to join. I figure if I give myself a bigger challenge then it'll give me more motivation to get out there and ride.

I'm in for 220. I have at least two 40 mile rides schedules so I should be able to make it.
I hit 300 last month but I can't invest that kind of time this month. Part of May will be focused on shorter rides of 10-12 mile with a higher avg speed (16mph) cuz well, I want to get faster too. . That's the goal anyway.

Well I didn't do the 500 miles last month, so I will shoot for at least 200... But I really want 400... hey its something I know I can do, but I want more... So I need to do this TWICE.

A pretty day here in the PNW - 19 miles of riding and 1 mile of walking after I got a flat and my repair attempt failed - walked home in cleats... . Im counting it as 20 miles as I WISH I was riding it...

05/04: Great ride today! I started out planning a high speed, short distance ride. @ 8 miles in I was keeping a 17 mph avg... then I hooked up with a group of riders and wound up doing 37 miles - a personal best for me. Just shy of a 15 mph avg. Not great (I think I coulda maintained a 16), but I had a great time and it was an improvement over my last distance ride none the less.

I just brought my bike in to get a new set of brake pads. It will take about a week to get fixed. This will make hitting the 200 miles harder but I can still do it.

I start a thread and then can't get any miles to post! Due to my work schedule the first four days of May were 12 hour work days. Oh, joy.
Well, I finally got back on the bike this morning. Never realized how much I could miss it!
This morning the bike was transportation to the gym for my 70 minutes of work out and I added miles this afternoon after I had gotten some recovery time. More tomorrow when I can hopefully devote more time to the saddle.
5/5/11 - 13.4 miles
