Momentum = Smacked Around

I've been doing well getting out when I can, etc. Had a tremendous ride Monday evening and just could not wait to get back out. Then I took my bike to the LBS for a long overdue tuneup. It won't be done until Friday or Saturday. Dang. I'm going to have to walk/trot/fight bears until then. It's also going to hurt my 100 mile/month goal.

Crap.

N+1 -- you need another bike. Or two.

Dude, your LBS takes 5 days to do a tuneup? Time to learn how to wrench.

I suggest you start de-thatching your lawn with a salad fork. By time you're done, your bike will be ready!

Funny you say that! When I start commuting each trip I make will be work a certain $ value in gas saved. When I save enough I'm getting another bike. At least that is MY plan.

I totally agree. I'm cleaning out my garage in a week or so and will consult this group to start learning how to take care of my bike (the one that takes care of me).
