A guy that about once a month rides locally with us (from another state) - who is a tri-racer, has been watching my progress since 285 lbs. He 'always' has dropped me on short order. Yesterday we did a ride in rolling hills. He weighs 160ish - with a carbon bike. I'm around 210 now with a 28 lb steel surly cross bike.
We went 20 miles at an 'average' speed of 23mph in rolling hills. We were moving. It is the fastest I've cleared any distance. He couldn't drop me this time. He still spins up hills faster than me, however I've been working on spinning alot. When I go for grocery runs, I've been spinning as fast as I can without bouncing working on cadence, etc.
Recently started swimming, too. When I hit 190 the running starts
