05/30 = 217.5 lbs I'll take it. Had lofty goals for the weekend only to see them dashed by a chest cold and/or nasty allergies stirred up by winds in the Bay Area.

Happy Memorial Day, folks!

As mentioned, last week I was in the Midwest visiting relatives. We wound up in an interesting pattern: we went to lunch out most days and got so full that no one could eat much more. It kept us from being offered extra food when we got back to the host's house.

That, plus jogging a few times during the week...

It didn't turn out as bad as I thought it would.

A couple of weekends with company, a couple of weeks filled with trade events that had free food (my personal downfall), and I figure I was lucky to escape with a half-pound gain over those two weeks.

It's going to be tough for a while - I have competing interests in further weight loss vs. training and its necessary fueling (a 5K this coming Saturday, Tour de Cure on the 11th and doing the bike leg in an upcoming team tri in August).

I was hoping for better results because I got in a lot of riding this past weekend, 30 miles at a 17mph avg on Friday, 52 miles at a 15mph pace on Monday, didn't gorge on anything being a holiday weekend. Ate lots of salads, no beer, no soda. Looking on the positive side at least I didn't gain any.

BU - stick with it this week and all that activity will probably show up on your next weigh-in. Don't let that momentary "sticking" of the scale keep you from your goal.

New Clydes groupie here..... I just joined tonight.

I've already posted pictures of my bikes, signed up for the June 150 mile challenge, and at 5' 1" and 245 pounds, it's only fitting that I chime in as weighing at 245 pounds (wait, lemme go step on the scale to make sure.....)
okay, 247 pounds (I ate a bunch of pasta & red wine tonight).

The night of May 31st, weighing in at...... 247 pounds.
Afternoon of June 5th, 240 pounds
