Best bike for me

I'm wanting to get a bike to ride on a daily basis. I'm a girl, 5'8" and weigh 240lbs. What would be the best bike for me to get?

My budget would be $600-$1000 and I'd mostly be riding in the city where it's relatively flat but I'm also surrounded by mountains.

Go to several shops and look at the options for road use. Your budget should allow for a really nice bike your weight should not stop you from any type of bike.

Somthing else to consider when budgeting if you are new to the bikeing thing you will need some equipment. Clothing, helmet, gloves, etc lighting basic repair tools like tire change tools and spare tubes a good pump is important.

Find a Friendly bike shop. Do some test rides.
Choose a bike that you like and have fun with it.

A Friendly bike shop will help you with quick answers to questions and minor adjustments as well as warranty repairs should you need them.

This is the best advice you can get. No one will really know what kind of bike is best for you until you try out some different styles of bikes. But just making the choice ti get into cycling is an awesome first step, you'll enjoy it!
