Vacation bike ride set!

Renting a road bike in La Jolla on Friday ... heading up Torrey Pines ...

Crazy I have to go to California to get a nice long ride in, but I'll take it!

Welcome to CALIFORNIA! and enjoy your ride! For real enjoyment of Torrey Pines, take the "old road" or inside road up. It's much steeper than the highway, but quieter and much prettier. Weather is really nice right now - mid-70's - great for a coastal ride. I can't wait to get out tonight and do a cruise along Newport Beach...

Funny friends always ask me where I am travelling for vacation... I tell them nowhere I already live in a vacation destination!

Was wondering about that ... that's the one further "in" from the new road, yes?

Yeah, you're geeked now, wait till you get on those hills. San Diego is shockingly hilly! I used to live in that part of San Diego (La Jolla / University City.... right by that monster mormon ice palace off the 5) and rode all over those roads.

I love San Diego. Sniff. Wish I could move back.

Have fun -- San Diego's a beautiful place, and you could NOT have better weather!
