being good consistently, not perfect in food choice
Even though I intellectually know this, I am finding watching my food intake more formally (using WW online) is really making me aware of my choices.
In the past I would think or this little splurge won't matter, but it does.
Case in point:
Didn't bring lunch today, which is more desirable because I know exactly what is in there. But didn't beat my self over this.....good not perfect.
Off to cafeteria: choice is Chicken Bacon Ranch dressing wrap or Chinese Chicken wrap. Almost grabbed the bacon ranch...but then did a quick analyze of what is int it: Bacon, Ranch dressing vs the other: oriental dressing
So Chinese Chicken it was. It hit me that this is what I have to 90% of the time or more, if I want to lose the weight, while still not getting stessed if I have a once or twice a week splurge (within reasons of course....a quart of ben and Jerry's is not a spluge )
happy friday

I have splurges and then make up for it later. It is a bit difficult. It might be better never to splurge.
Yesterday I had a piece of zucchini cake with cream cheese frosting. This amounts to 1/3 of my daily calories. You can't do that very often and still maintain good nutrition.

Dad, do you think WW online is worth the money. My girlfriend is a big WW fan and she is trying to convince me, however I have limited fund and want to know if it is worth it.

You can dothe same thing with pencil and paper, but WW gives you a number to shoot for in points, vs calories. The points values are based on a mix of factors not pure calories, and fruit and veggies are all zero. What is really interesting is when I was going to have a bag of peanuts from the snack machine and pluged the numbers in and that bag of peanuts was 10 pt or 20% of my day. Turned out even doritos would be a better choice. It can rally open your eyes as to bad choices that don't seem that way. and it can show things you might think as bad are not terrible...ie an egg mcmuffin is 5 pts
Bottom line if for me I think it will be worth it.
What you could do (WW probably doesn't like this ) is sign up for 3 months (around 60 dollars) and use it to train and focus, and then make your own decision after 3 months as to it's value for you.
