My puter would do that at times till I relaized I had the sensor too far from the magnet. It can get whacky if not properly positioned.

Is it wireless? All sorts of things can cause interference readings with the wireless models.

funny na its not wireless. and could them cameras effect the odometre readings and trips too? put you off getting a wireless if that was the case

It doesn't happen very often. Yes it adds miles to the trip and od. It just jumps a second or
two and makes the Max speed look cool!

BTW, I had a cheap wired one that was loose in the mount and you could wiggle it and make
it show ten mph or more, when you weren't moving at all. It also would loose the trip miles
if you hit a bump, so I returned it and got a Bell wireless and love it.

No, you really did hit that speed. You might have not realized you entered a space time warp that propelled you thru the worm hole at a rapid speed thus registering onto your computer.

That's why I use a wired unit. Looks dorky, saves a few bucks, and they seem to have pretty good battery life. Coming up on three years with my current battery.

Incidentally, this is the first computer I've kept around that long. I wonder if my odometer readings will stay intact when I do replace the battery.

I usually enter my bike computer data manually in a spreadsheet on my Mac. After getting a wireless model I found I had to record its data on a note pad someplace away from the Mac first, and then enter it into the spreadshee, because the Mac's wireless keyboard was doing wacky things to the bike computer when it was anywhere near it.
