due to a bunch of circumstances beyond my control, I haven't ridden in a week and a half and will fall well short. Oh well, maybe next time once I get back on the bike.

5 July - 20 miles
7 July - 15 miles
8 July - 14 miles (and a flat tire that ended the ride)

18 July - 13 Miles
~~heat wave, no ridding~~
26 July - 7 Miles (on a trainer in the basement)
30 July - 14 Miles

July total = 123 miles
would've made it if not for the heat index being around 110 every day the past 2 weeks. first day the high wasn't at least mid-90s.
really getting sick of seeing everyone say they rode 50-80 miles in a day... my shoes suck!! my legs and endurance aren't holding me back, it's my gawd-damned feet!! these Bontrager shoes suck, they don't fit my feet well, and seem to be changing shape the more i ride them - like the forefoot is turning inward.
bah, one of these days i'll be able to ride and only want to stop because my legs can't take it anymore from fatigue, not because my damn feet are killing me.

Nice 31mi ride this morning puts me over the 200 mark. Still have one more before the month ends just for gravy. Next month will be 300mi, then it will be 100mi a week goal by Sept.

Don't worry about it, himespau & GumbyN, stuff happens. You both cleared 100 miles which is more than most people do.
With the month just about up, I just want to say thanks for your company on this journey and hope that your August goals are met. Cheers!

JULY TOTAL 279.4 Miles
Thanks to everyone here on the forum that helped us reach our goal. I do not think we would ride this many miles a month if it wasn't for this challenge. At least two more months of good weather here to get a few more miles in and if all goes well we should break 1000 miles this season which is awesome.. Hope everyone else put on miles yesterday and today to make it over the top, if not we'll get them next month.

made it with hours to spare. 17 miles today for 205 miles total. Think i'm going to have to bow out for next month though, closing on a house and moving is going to eat into my riding time

Not safe for work
Recently I've lurked in this thread and I'm always impressed with everyone's accomplishments.
Congrats to everybody who rode their 200 miles and beyond!
Now, to show off: even though I wasn't an official member of the 200 Mile Challenge for July 2011, I did give it a try and I rode 207 miles this month. I think that's the most I've ever ridden in a month EVER. Thanks for the inspiration and I'd like to officially join August's 200 mile challenge.

Didn't do well. The month started out fine, but my step son had his baby 6 weeks premature so that took up all of my time. I'm not complaining, that's the reason i didn't get to ride anywhere near as much as I wanted. Baby is fine in case anyone is curious.
