Older giant cfr carbon fiber bike questions....

I figured I better post this here, as I think I may have insulted the C&V crowd by even asking about this bike's worth on their boards.

Currently looking at a mid 90's Giant CFR road bike in my size. Seller wants around 200 bucks for it, and seems motivated to sell.

My concern is, I'm 250 lbs.....if this was a new carbon fiber bike, I would have no worries.
But a mid 90s Giant?....should I be wary? I believe it's all carbon fiber.....sounds like it's in decent condition....functional brifters.....16 speed....has an 8 speed cassette.....

From everything I have researched on the mid 90s Giant CFRs, 200 bucks seems like a good price if everything is in good shape. It has Shimano 600 components.....

Is this a good deal? Should I steer clear of older cf?

Just wanting some advice on this........

Thanks!
