A major milestone for me: I actually wore out a bicycle tire!

So I had a flat this morning, some kind of puncture, though I never did find the offending object. But when I was examining the tire, I noticed that part of the surface that makes contact with the road was green, as if the black had worn off. I asked myself, could this be a tread wear indicator? LOL. It was indeed. I guess I had forgotten what the treads were supposed to look like, I have worn it out. It's the rear tire, that came stock with the bike. It probably has around 2K miles on it. I guess that's about right.

Anyway, I guess I must be getting serious about this stuff. I've never in my life ridden a bike enough to actually wear out the tread of a tire. I'm pretty excited about this!

Every tire I buy has seemingly endless tread. Hopefully I'll have to replace a tire from wear at some point. Congratulations!
