Hurricane watch! Wheres your bike

Hurricane watch!! No bike riding for me as its coming soon. I know its about 500 miles wide. Who's effected here? My bike is safe and dry staying in at work. LOL. That's the only thing safe as I live in a small studio,no family around and friends I'm sorry to say would not accept my pets very well. And I aint leaving without them!! May have to stay at a motel north of me because they are telling anyone south of the 27(sunrise highway in NY)to leave. The last time I had a wee flood my 1st thought was my bike. I made sure it was on higher grounds. Then I worried about everything else. LOL. I'm sick really I am.

I did an online "Family Feud" thing and the question was "When is a good time to use a bike instead of a car?" The No. 1 answer was "In a Traffic Jam". Coincidentally, the last time there was a major hurricane coming into Texas, there was one humongous stupendous traffic jam, they had people evacuate and then sit in their cars for 24 hours in a traffic jam. So with that in mind, maybe you should leave the car on higher ground and take the bike!

Paisan and I are going camping with the bikes to Pine Creek Gorge, which is west of the storm's path. Forecast for Wellsboro PA is sunny and 81 tomorrow, and 70 something with some rain possible Sunday.

I believe I'm right outside of a flood zone, even so, I don't live on the first floor. My bike will be parked right where it always is, in my apartment.

P.S. I'm getting some riding in before the storm comes, I'm going out for a ride in about an hour.

My bike is in the shop. A crack showed up in the frame, and they replaced it under warranty, but they're taking an eternity to get the parts off the old frame onto the new one.

By the way, we're having weather trouble here, too. It's 81 F, and there's no relief in sight. They're predicting it'll reach a sweltering 83 F on Sunday, when eggs will melt on the sidewalk.

I live in CT and thats in the direct path. My bike is safe and warm next to my Harley in the shed. I hope the damage doesn't slow the riding down next week. ECB1

It is ordained we work tomorrow. If I get stuck, the MTB is in the back of the van to pedal home.
(Although I am not planning to get stuck. Will seek to bail before roads get too bad.)

yeah the bike is still there at work and my pets and I may have to stay at a motel tonight. Its funny a friend asked if my bike was with me. She was asking what valuables I had to take or sercure. Does anyone know how many hours before it hits when I should see wind? Its so darn calm here!

Not this time!!

For once, New Orleans is not in danger.
I'll be riding all weekend.

Please be safe, run if you can, if not PLEASE be careful.

God Bless all in the storms path!

I'd give anything for some of the 'Cane Rain. Hot and drought plagued as usual here. You all in the path, be safe, be smart and good luck.

Safely in the garage. The earthquake didn't bother them and I don't expect the hurricane will either.
