New toys - guaranteed to make any day better

Today I finally got my hands on the new (to me) road bike. I haven't had a road bike since the late 90's ('97 maybe, when I was in my early twenties) and I was eager to see the new toy.....man I'm going to enjoy this thing

2011 Felt F75, basically stock with a few extra nice to haves (carbon bars, Devox stem, TTR4 wheels). Didn't manage to get out on it at all today, but the long weekend will see the start of our beautiful new relationship
Need to pick up a set of 25's (don't think 28's will fit), get the thing setup for me and fit the computer, but after that we hit the roads (and paths)!

I like the matching tires. Very pretty bike and I hope it rides as well as it looks!

That's super sexy. I really like the Felt bikes. Been scouring craigslist for a road bike, but every Felt that comes along is always too big.

Matching tires are being relegated to the spares pile as I'm pretty convinced 25's (at least) are more to my liking. I've certainly been impressed with the other Felts I've grabbed from a couple of friends on previous occasions....one of the main reasons I went with this bike in the end.

I was just lucky when this came up in the ideal size for me

I agree with everyone else. Felt makes some very pretty bikes. Yours is no exception. Congrats!

Felts always insprire N+1 lust in me, even if I already have another, comparable bike. I don't know - something about their graphics, maybe.

Pinarello Dogmas do that to me, too, but for a whole bunch of other reasons.

Had never heard of, or seen a Felt, until I moved over here to Canada. Started seeing a few around and then a couple of colleagues picked them up........I've always liked and admired a decent looking bike, but the Felts took the lusting to a whole new level !

New tires on as of about 30 minutes ago. Conti Gators, 25 front and took a chance on a 28 rear. I was a little short on time to really gauge things properly, but the 28 is in and has at least some clearance, but will have a really good check tomorrow before I ride it. If the clearance is too tight then I'll just swap it out for a 25. Got them from a different shop than I'd usually go to (due to lack of availability) and may have found a decent back-up LBS with this place. The guy even owns the same car and shares the same passion for it, so we're off to a decent start

Yeah, yeah, yeah......already done. That was literally just after I bolted the stem and bars on and shortly before the wife started asking why I was still just staring at my new toy

Rear 28 swapped out in favour of a 25. I just didn't like the 2mm to 3mm of clearance with the rear caliper bridge. I'm absolutely knackered after going out for a ride with the wife (local pathways on the MTB) but I still need to get the computer on and then maybe I can actually get the new toy out for a ride!

Gorgeous bike. The color is a refreshing change from all the white, black and red road bikes out there.
Which Calgary bike shop stocks Felt? I don't remember ever seeing it in the shops I used to haunt.

Speed Theory on 10th Ave stock the Felts, along with Argon 18, Cervelo and Focus. It's quite a nice little shop to wander into as far as cycling eye candy is concerned!

Not familiar with Argon, but Felt, Cervelo and Focus are certainly nice eye candy.
