I just bought my first "team" jersey, the 50+ jersey a guy is selling on the 50+ forum. Actually, they look pretty cool with the black, white and read.

For me shorts make the ride comfortable - I don't care what I look like. I used to wear jerseys - since the little old lady tried to drive over the top of me I now wear flourescent lime shirts with relfective tape that I got at the Rural King made for highway workers. They were cheaper than jerseys and they are made of wicking material that works well in the summer for the workers and bikers.

Yep you're right... So I'll make sure Santa gets me a Gator biking jersey..

Besides manufacturer branding, your 'fan' kit probably just has graphics for what you're supporting. A team kit is going to have all of the logos of every company that sponsors the team - much more of a moving billboard effect.
