Video: Bike to work

A few weeks ago I posted a video of my commute home from work; here's the link if you missed it: http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...home-from-work

Today I received confirmation that my office will indeed be closing by December 1st (possibly sooner), so I have about 2 months of commuting left before I am no longer a bicycle commuter. Coincidentally I finally managed to create a decent video of my commute to work (three previous attempts were scrubbed due to 1) accidentally turning the camera off 13 minutes into the ride, and 2/3) rain getting on the camera lens and obscuring the majority of the ride). So without further ado, I present Bike To Work.

19 miles, 16mph average, 1 hour 11 minutes, my fastest commute ever (sped up approx 2.7x):

My wife got me a GoPro bike video camera I've wanted to film my commute through the streets of San Francisco, all I can say is cool.

Thanks for the vids. Have you got plans for what's next. I'm retired (3 years) and the most missed part of work is the commute to and from work and I only had a 6 mile round trip commute. I usually make it 12 miles by going out of the way to extend the commute when I had time which was most of the time.

One of my fall traditions ever since moving out into the country is to take a "fall drive" down some really beautiful country roads when the leaves start turning colors. It's absolutely beautiful.

This year... instead of a "fall drive", I'm going to do a "fall ride", and hopefully video it all. I'm hoping the orange/red/yellow foliage will look spectacular. As of right now the leaves around here are still mostly green, but this morning I found a few red ones. So if all goes well, I can probably do it this weekend.

We are at peak here on leaf color. I've thought of getting a video camera to tape rides but after buying a new bike I decided it was time to stop spending for a while.
