Anyone buy jerseys from scudopro.com

I'm curious if any Clydes/Athenas have ordered from here?
Thoughts?

They have some cool designs and they can do some customization along with adding sleeves to existing short sleeve jerseys.

I'm digging their state collection - very cool to represent your home

TX based - made in USA - pluses!

Have ordered twice. Very happy with the jerseys and the service.

phlydude 10-22-11 12:08 PM

how did you find their fit? were they comparable to another brand you have tried?

chefisaac 10-22-11 12:47 PM

How big do they go up?

chefisaac 10-22-11 12:50 PM

Phly: you going riding with us in DE tomorrow?

phlydude 10-22-11 01:19 PM

I should be there...only concern I have is cold gear. It was cold this morning! I should be OK with enough upper body cold weather wear (under armour) and shorts.

They go up to 4XL in the shorts, bibs and jerseys but their sizing page only lists the 3XL jerseys and 2XL on the shorts and bibs. I have an email into them because I want to see if a 4XL will fit me (how ironic that I get down to a 2XL in street clothes but need to look for 4XL in biking gear!)
They customize the jerseys and can add sleeves for $5 more to any of their jerseys. Their designs are cool.

let me know about the 4xl. i just tried on the 5xl i got from love2pedal. sweet jerseys but they just dont fit me :(

phlydude 10-22-11 06:27 PM

I am a 50" chest and the jerseys aren't as form fitting apparently so I am looking for something but I am happy with my under armour if I have to wait a little while - the bigger issue is shorts - I have a weird build with thick legs
I found another site as well looking at some real old (2006) Clydes postings - http://www.aerotechdesigns.com/

chefisaac 10-22-11 06:53 PM

aearo tech is awesome. I buy all my stuff there. I will have their bibbs and jersey on tomorrow.

Please report back about the 4xl. ;)

I wear a 2XL t-shirt and can use Performance jerseys in a 2XL. But anything with a design in a 2XL seems to be very small on me.

Voler 2XL...too small I am also a 50 chest

But Performance 2XL seems to be ok with plain prints.

Performance from Performance Bike?
There is a local store and I see they are always running some kind of sale - would be nice to try something on locally instead of doing the mail back and forth thing and waiting for the money to get refunded!

Yup! I bought these jerseys for $20...About a month later, they had them on sale online for 9.99!!!

I got a bright green, blue and yellow. All 2XL but the Blue seems to be longer than the others. If you go, try on different colors, might be made differently. Not sure why but mine are.:D

BTW, anything you buy there, if you check the online price before you go in, they will honor the sale if you mention it at the register. ;)

Blue, a little longer but says nothing on the size tag.

Interesting - they are showing $25 - I will keep my eye out for sales but trying one on is imperative!

Just walking into the store, I sometimes see them on sale even though I didn't see it online, as well as other sales. ;)

consider areotech.

mr B: I am noticing the same thing. If there is a design on it, it is too short. I just dont get that.

Yeah, it's a bummer! Other riders think that I'm not cool when in fact, its because the fancy stuff doesn't fit.:D

Aerotech Designs (http://www.aerotechdesigns.com/) also has a catalog you can apparently buy from (http://www.aerotechdesigns.com/aero_...el_catalog.pdf). I like the bib I got from them; it is a 3XL but fits my 50" waist (and comparably-sized butt) just fine. Style choices are limited on-line, but the catalog may be worhtwhile (and I haven't checked the catalog to see whether it is for bulk/team orders only). Nashbar (http://www.nashbar.com) has some big sizes, but check the sizing charts before you order. Mt. Borah (www.mtborah.com) is also a good place for Clydes and Athenas to find bigger clothes. I just ordered a Detroit Redwings and a MSU Spartans jersey from www.cyclegarb.com - again, check the sizing charts for the different manufacturers: Primal seems to have good sizing for the plus-sized population. I also bought a jersey and a bib from Primal Wear (www.primalwear.com) recently; I'll soon find out how accurate those sizing charts are!

I think they are a size too small. If I needed a 1x, I'd order a 2x.

phlydude 10-24-11 06:15 PM

The response on the jersey size 4XL is:

We estimate that a person's chest should measure between 46'' to 49" for a 4XL (Men or Women).

I am waiting for a response on shorts and bibs. I am going to hold off after seeing someone's hi-vis love2pedal jersey on Sunday. I think for the 2 for deal going, they can be beat and aren't skin tight either!

chefisaac 10-24-11 06:39 PM

phly: and you cant beat the price! I am planning on getting some of the same jerseys that Jim had. Solid.

phlydude 10-25-11 09:54 AM

Here is the response on the bibs and shorts...sadly, doesn't instill confidence for having the larger sizes.

Hello Dennis,

We are currently working to improve our online services. We will shortly have a sizing chart for shorts ans bibs available in our online store. In the meantime, I recommend you to measure your waistline and based on that measurements we will gladly help you select the size that best fits you.

Have a great day!
