Shame on you Sayre. You only have 893 posts. How dare you question someone with 14,000 posts.

My bad. Guess I've been "pwnd".

But I under understand the Fred thing in your signature area.

Thanks, and great, it seems like a few here don't quite get it.

Well done, BigFred. It is great to see some people fight against that which others perceive as inevitable.

Thanks. I'm back under the weight I was 23 years ago. Still a true clyde at 120kg and 6'5" but down from the 135 that I reached before saying, "enough". Goal is 115. I know from experience that I can't stay any lighter than that and remain healthy.

I hope Mrs. Fred is riding as well - my wife's riding is one of my favorite things about resuming cycling. We both get to become fit enjoying the same workout together.

And ignore the Fred put-down stuff. Simply uncooth elitism.

Proudly a Fred!

Mrs. Fred claimed that she would "never participate in an organized group cycle", although she really enjoys riding. In the months of training and prep, activity envy got the better of her and she signed up as part of a four person relay. 40k and two days later, and she's already registered for her next event.

Don't worry about this fred. I know where I fit in. Sometimes ya' just have to own what you are.

BigFred's actual name is Fred. That is what his signature means.

Well aware of that. That wasn't the point up for debate. I actually like the signature line, bigfred.
