I will go for 300 miles this month. Most of these miles will be on the rollers since the roads are all covered with ice and snow.

My modest goal is for 210 miles per month for the next year, only about 50 miles per week. That will give me a yearly total of 2,500 miles. A modest goal, which should be easily accomplished.

My goal is 3000 miles for 2012, averaging 300 miles a month for 10 months a year. This month my goal is 300.
January 1: 13 miles, planned more but a flat tire. This flat was moderately inconvenient as I brought no tools because spouse would pick me up if I had a problem. Well, his phone was off! @#$%^&! I walk a mile and a half carrying the front end of my bike up and got bit repeatedly by mosquitoes. Then I got rained on.
Jaunary 1: 4 more miles. Total, 17 for the month.
I snapped at the spouse when I got back to the rv.
Never again will I ride without what I need to fix a flat.
Happy #$%^&* new year.

I'm in but due to a couple of family issues not sure what kind of mileage I'll achieve. 100 should be easy, I'm hoping to get more like 250 but we'll see.

In for the 100 Plus. Strap on the studs is the plan as I just took a spill on smooth tires while clipped in, poor judgement on the turn, didn't think a little slush was going to be a problem. Got in 9.2 miles however. Next 2 days will be snow so time to use the studded MTB. Plan for month not to fall down.

Front tire slid out, my fault really as I guess the concrete had not iced yet. I was making a shape turn off the snow covered wooden board walk by the river into a Holiday Inn parking lot thinking the cement sidewalk was just wet. On my MTB I have 80 studs front 40 back. If you only use 1 the front is the most important. When riding straight up the studs hardly even touch. When that front tire slips you really feel helpless....

Not safe for work
January can either be a horrible, ice filled nightmare or just cold. I'm shooting for 150 miles this month but hopefully more.

200 miles a month this year is my goal. I finished 2011 with 2042 miles, going for a modest increase, and hopefully I'll do much better.
2 miles in on a test ride of a friend's bike I worked on yesterday! Ha! At least I started the year out with some time in the saddle!
January month to date:
1/1: 2 mi

100 miles a month? I'm over 1/3 there already... 300 mi/month average would be nice. However, 今年我要到中國去和研究. That could throw a wrench in my mileage.
January month to date:
1/1: 42 mi (and boy do I hurt... Damn headwinds)

Count me in for at least 100. 22 yesterday. NOT supposed to be able to ride 22 road miles in January in the Colorado mountains. Oh well, skiing can wait.
