Week 7 on WW complete, and I gained .4 pounds However, through the 7 weeks I still am averaging 1.7 pounds lost per week so I'm still on track

Out of the 7 weeks, 5 of them showed weight loss of over 2 pounds, and two of them I lost very little or gained a little. The only difference was that on the two weeks that were not productive I did not bicycle. Week 5 I had the sniffles, drove my car to work instead of bike commuting, and lost only .4 lbs. Then last week I bought a new car (don't tell the people in the commuting forum ) and rode in to work on the bike only one day, and gained .4 lbs. The other weeks I commuted on my bike normally (4 out of 5 workdays) and had weight losses of around 2 to 2.5 pounds. Lesson learned - Ride yer Bike!

trac: I am on the same path as you. I think, for me, I have a small loss or gain and then a bigger loss followed by a medium type loss. Even if I crank up the miles, seems like this way.

....now off to the commuting forum to tell them you bought a new car.............

Gained .4lbs in week 6, still avg 2.1lbs per week loss and I ate some things I shouldn't have eaten this week celebrated a birthday with a co-worker and had a beer after the club meeting this week two beers at the party and one at the meeting is the only alcohol I've had in a month. My fear is that in the past when I had a little success I got cocky and lost my focus and I'm determined this time to stay with the plan til my goal is reached. I've ridden 211 miles since the first of the month I ride 3 or 4 days a week usually 30 to 40 miles a ride.

I am weighing in tonight... did a lot more riding this week 5 out of 7 days plus a commute to work today for the first time... had some of the dreaded Girl Scout cookies last night, so hopefully burned them off with my ride in this morning. fingers crossed for a nice loss tonight?!?!?

Rec C: How did your weigh-in go last night.

I weighed in this morning and I am down 4.6 lbs for the week and I have lost a total of 25.2 lbs since my return to WW on 1/3/12. I am about 3 lbs away from my 10% achievement.

Best of luck to all this week!!!

Had my weigh in last night. Last week I lost .2 and was a little concerned so after sifting through the tracking of that week, I made some changes.

I went to the meeting and got weighed in. I handed the lady my booklet and I weighed in. She sat there for what felt like 5 minutes and I was getting worried. She said "ok, we have some things going on here". And I was like "crap". She said that I lost 6.8 pounds, got to my 10%, under 300 pounds (now 298 thank you very much) and lost a total of 36 pounds thus far.

I have not been under 300 pounds for ten plus years.

Good Job Chef!!!! the scale owed you this week and will owe me next week, only down .2 this week, but I think it was my body adjusting to my increased riding this week.

I have to remember to drink at the traffic lights on my way into work because when I get here I drink like I have not drank anything in weeks... and must have still been (water logged) heavy when I got on the scale.

(or at least that is my story and I'm sticking to it!)

rec: Yes, drinking on the commute is tough.

I do not drink anything 4 or 5 hours before the weigh in.

I usually do the same but with the riding I did today and feeling like a camel all day long, I could not help myself. Thirst is Thirst, now if they would only let us drink beer at work....

ha! I was in the same boat. My routine is that I stop eating after lunch so I can digest the food and no drinking water after two. I bring water and fruit to my meeting and after I weigh in, which is around 5:30, I drink so much water and eat the fruit.

I can drink water like no tomorrow.

It's funny how everyone has their own little "meeting-day ritual."

For me it's lunch at Subway (6 inch turkey on wheat with apples), no more than 1 refill of the 20 oz iced tea, and no more drinks after 2! ...weigh in at 5:30.

I even where the same clothes every week too... the same shorts, same underwear and t-shirt, I have not worn a winter coat or jacket yet this year, I guess that is one of the benefits of having MS. no fluids after 1 pm, a salad with tuna fish and salsa for lunch and always go in to the bathroom prior to getting on the scale.

We have a lot of the same rituals. Have you tried Subways Apple Chips? They are amazing. I love them versus potato chips.
