.

I commute to work with this bike so wont be hitting trails while riding them , am on the right path or am i so far off track it isn't funny?:(

that bike store so far seems good, so if you see something else on there i should have , let me know .

Thanks guys

tergal, You might want to also ask in the commuting forum.

The pedals should be fine and often come with the cleat set when purchased new. I've a pair of the Carnac road shoes and can vouch for their quality, but I can't comment on whether the model you posted will prevent the cleat from contacting a floor when walking.

That size will fit you well. I have large feet and a 48 fit me.

As bradtx noted, check what comes in the pedal box as you may not need to purchase the cleat set seperately.

The only thing I would suggest considering, if you haven't already, is a SPD Single Sided Touring Pedals as you could use a regular shoe if you wished to.

According to my shoe cross-reference chart, a Carnac 48 is equal to a 13 1/2 US. I wear 13 US and typically wear 47 in cycling shoes (have not tried Carnac) so you may have an issue with your size. As others noted, the cleats typically come with the pedals (never had a pair not come with them) so I wouldn't order them seperately.

Yea i just double checked you are right, i found a store that has a 50 but they also have it in a wide model . which may be better for me and my clown fleet.

In regards to the single and double sided Pedals , my only concern is me being a bit clumsy and not having the right side of pedal up , i already foresee many meetings with the road over these.
