+1 for the trees fault... it must have been tree migration season and it was trying to go south for the winter!

Blech! Yet another reason why I remain proudly single. I'm a female and I can't stand the thought of the jail sentence that is marriage. No, I've never been married, but I have close male friends (strictly platonic, nothing sexual) who are or who have been married, and witnessing the anguish they've gone through only makes me more determined to stay single.
Now before anybody gets all offended, this is strictly my opinion of what's best for me, not what I think everyone else should do.

Umm.... Is this a rider comfort issue? It can take a while to learn that if you stare at the tree, you hit the tree. New riders are scared of the tree and stare at it. More experienced riders stare at the space between the tree and then they just naturally go there. "Look where you want to go" is a hard lesson to learn and they have to teach it every year on Canada's Worst Driver. I'm having a hard time getting my teenager to understand that while learning to drive the car too.
Other question, who is bringing up the driving into the tree, you or her?

An old saying but fairly true
Rule #1- The wife is always right
Rule #2- If the wife is wrong refer to rule #1

I was getting to know a woman and we went bicycle camping for a weekend. An issue came up and she would just not let it go. I felt close kinship with her ex-husband who I have never met. I survived the weekend and never called her again.
I feel sorry for you. She's a first rate nag and her bringing it up when there is company is an indication of her nagishness. (if that's a word) She is pathetic and refuses to take responsibility for herself. I bet this is just one of a dozen issues she has.
