I didn't plan on it, but for some reason I didn't ride once all winter long. After I spent all last year getting my legs in shape, getting my cardio to improve. I lost a bunch of weight. Then I spend the winter deepening my arse groove on the couch. I havent stepped on the scale in months, but I know it wont be good news.
I really need to get back to it. I think I'll start simple. By noon Saturday I'll have the trike tuned up and in working condition. By noon Sunday I'll have completed my first ride of the year. By June I want to be back to the 40-50 mile rides, and by August I want to be doing centuries. Only thing in my way is motivation.
I know... when I complete my third century ride... I'll let myself exercise my next n+1 step and get a speedy 2-wheel bent. (the trike is a bit slow. The engine needs help, but the trike is built for comfort, not speed) I do miss the really high speed downhills I did on 2 wheels when I was still in school. i just don't feel safe at those speeds on the trike.

Don't over think it, just go for a ride. And then go for another ride the next day. 1 mile, 15 miles, 55 miles... whatever gets the wheels turning.
