Sat Ride with a Bad Hammy!

Please let me know if the video is blocked. Billy Idol songs never used to be blocked on youtube. This video (I've used song before) never had problems but now saying blocked in the US for other viewer. It let me view on second try but first message said blocked.

Welp, I pulled my hammy on Wednesday night so today (Sat) I'm hoping I can ride the bike. Started out a little tender but felt OK. I tried a good push on a section of the trail but the leg was not happy. On the way to the coast I gave a good fort up a couple of the little inclines but the leg felt like a stretched rubber band. I was worried but after the ride, the sucker actual felt pretty good. I managed a 38 miler with some easy sections thrown in.

I did roll down to the pier to see what was happening. Some bongo dudes with some flipping tricks were pretty cool. But I left quickly wanting to avoid the crowd on the return so I rolled back to the usual rest spot. Then came a gang of friends. Cool, some good chat and a few ride partners for the return. Alex2, Tammy& Allen, sister Gloria, Mark and Pete. Nice tailwind so the return was a blast!

Some dude rolled up to the rest stop on pink trimmed bike that was pretty cool. A Shogun Ninja bicycle. I've never heard of the brand but it was a pretty cool looking bike, nothing cheap, nice components too. Dude was Thomas, kind of a camera shy type dude ha ha!

OK, video reworked and ready to view now.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

By the way, Shogun is a really nice bike! They were pretty hot in the 80's.

Well played, sir, well played.

You know they bought a few million rounds of ammo? What do luggage screeners need with ammo?

Sunday, another tender hammy solo ride. Not much happening today. I did a 33 miler with a 16.8 average. Not a hard effort but I did save some gas for some segments where I wanted to improve my time.

And a body of water picture.

Ah Cool! One segment (bridge to bridge) is 7.4 miles. I now rank #211 out of 884 riders.

21.7 average /20:24 time/239 watts. Not bad, like 25% with a tender hammy.

I read you might be out there so my eyes were open. I counted about 10 possible TrojanHorses on Specialized bikes.

How many of those 10 were burly, yet devastatingly handsome? And this isn't just any old Specialized, it's a 5 yr old Roubaix, thank you. In Boat Anchor Blue.

By the way, I hope you were looking over your shoulder, not ahead. Ha ha.

Nice vid. Here's a trick I have used before to get past the youtube filters. If you pull the track into audacity (free download) you can pitch change it. You dont need to change it much, either up or down, to fool the filters. The change isn't even noticeable to the ear unless you heavily modify the pitch, but its enough to get past whatever algorithm they use.

/me goes to close shades and turn off lights to hide from that TSA van parked in front of my house...

Thanks! I'll have to try that. I've heard of others putting in little glitches (skips) to fool the filters as well but that's annoying.

I'll have to try the pitch trick though. I used to contest it with the fair blah blah act but then a year later, they'd give me a strike on my account for using the song.

I'm sure you mean "as they were receding into the distance" on account of that trek you were riding.

I have had good luck. Ironically there are a ton of videos on youtube that show you how to beat their filters with this trick. You wont have to change it much, only like .5 semitones. Facebook now is using similar filters for copyrighted music too, this trick has also worked for movies I have uploaded there as well.

Thanks for the great info. I did try to load on FB once with no luck. Now I know the secret.
