Dogs like Cross Checks

There are three neighborhood dogs that always run out to the road and give chase when I'm riding my roadbike. They know me and it's not like I'm going to be bitten. Yesterday, I rode past the first one on the Cross Check. It just raised it's head and watched me ride by. I got to thinking that no dog has come out to chase me on the Cross Check. So I went by all three dogs twice. Not one paid me any attention. I saw all three so it's not like they were penned up. I wonder if the high pressure tires on the roadbike make a high ptiched sound that bothers them? Where as the Cross Check does not.

Maybe in Illinois they watch cross checks pass by but over here in PA the field dogs like to tackle you if you ride by on one.

It reminds me of what Tarzan always said when he saw the elephants coming over the hill,

"Look here come the elephants."

Then one day the elephants put on sunglasses and came over the hill.

Tarzan said nothing, he didn't recognize them?
