You may ... LOL
I got my Hybrid last summer and added a Roadbike to my stable of bikes in April. Had a minor fall that unfortunately delaminates the carbon on the left chain stay due to impact from curb. Replacement bike arriving today.

I knew about the fall - I read the whole thread. I was asking because I'm trying to decide how long I should wait until I "upgrade" to a road bike - although my hybrid (which will eventually be my commuter/around town bike) is only a few weeks old.

I wonder if the bike shop will get it assembled today... Hmm..... Now what could possibly motivate them to move you to the head of the queue. Hmmm...
There's a lot of people talking smack about GMR on this board (looking at you PhotoJoe) so you bike-less people better get your bikes and get riding.

Hey now! I'm not talking smack. I'm making excuses. There is a HUGE difference! Besides, you cheated and got a head start on GMR! And I am NOT bike-less. I have a perfectly fine RockHopper from the late 1900's and I'm riding several times a week! Now, with that said, Lynskey sent me an invoice for my bike yesterday. We're getting close!!!! Once I get it...THEN I will talk some smack. Until then, it is merely envy peppered with a touch of sarcasm!

I must have just missed the UPS truck delivering the bike...I stopped by to drop off the 3.1 for them to strip And cookies for the employees. It was delivered at 12:02pm and I left there at 11:50am.
They have a bike builder there....it could be ready to pick up when I leave work.

I use my FX to commute and for more recreational riding..so no plans to get rid of it. In fact she got a complement yesterday while I was out riding.

March I put 200 miles on FX
(2011 from July thru December I had only put 243 miles on FX).
In basically in 6 weeks I put 290 miles on the FX exceeding all my riding in 2011...got the road bike on April 6...

I'm going to try and wait until November. That's when our next ESPP is. If I'm up to serious rides by then...I'll spend the money.

That's FIVE MONTHS AWAY! How can you STAND it?!!!?
A serious strategy for you (can't recall if I mentioned it in your other thread) is to stalk your bike shops now through November and wait till they put a 2011 or 2012 bike on sale to make room for the 2013 models. you obviously have the mental fortitude for that kind of exercise. November should be pretty ripe for that sort of thing too.
Oh - BG - sorry for the thread hijack, let's get this back on topic - did you get your bike yet?

I'm getting used to riding this nice hybrid and commuting.
I view these things as an exercise in discipline. I *could* go get the bike now, buy by waiting for that next ESPP check I'm making sure it's not a very expensive impulse buy. Also, before I get a road bike I want to spend some time in spinning class, getting used to clipping in, etc.
I wonder if she'll tell us before she takes it for a test ride...

Got to shop and bike still in box. That's ok as I got to see it unpacked (born). At local watering hole nearby enjoying a beer so I'm not hovering right on top if them
