15.3mph avg for 100 miles is outstanding. I did a 35 mile TDC last month at only 12.5.
Great job.
Great job.

Thanks all! No real issues on the ride. It was better (more bearable, don't want to say easier) than I thought it would be. Couple of tough hills, couple of long boring miles. But most of the ride I was side by side with another rider, which I assume made the ride much better than going at it solo, so most of the ride went by pretty quickly, chatting away passed the miles and time.
No dead tired legs, no bonking, the usual hill burns from time to time, but I was in it to finish it not set a record.
Around mile 80 I started getting painful hot spots to the outside of the balls of my feet. Need to figure that one out. But mind of matter prevailed and they only hurt when I thought about them. After the ride no issues seen on my feet, no blisters, no red spots, no nothing.
Other than that, a flat tire, at mile 95, I was pissed. And only a couple of miles before that I was thinking to myself I made the ride without any mechanical issues.
I'll need to find time for another century soon. I enjoyed it. Not sure if I am up to a solo century yet though.
