Help me identify this bike

So I picked this beauty up on CL for pretty cheap. The prior owner said it's a Gary Fisher Wahoo. I've been all over the web looking at Gary Fishers and I can't find this bike. Does anyone know what year/model it is?

I have posted this same question on the MTN bike forums and I got no response a few weeks back. Also for my brother clydes, what would you do for the wheels? I'm sure they are stock. They are way out of true and I wanna put something on that can take running over big roots and stumps. No drops over 3 feet. I'm going to pull the wheels off and put them in true and proper tension (gotta learn some how). But I doubt they will stay in true or can handle 380 lbs.

Here's a link to every Gary Fisher Catalogue all the way back to 88. The Wahoo's came out mid/late 90's so I would start looking somewhere around 95-96. Good Luck

What are the components? It's tough to tell from the pictures.

Looks more like a 2007 or 2008 Ferrous to me. Almost certain it's not a Wahoo because I don't think they ever made them in that color. They did make the Ferrous in that color 2006-2008. Can probably ID it if you know the fork and other components. The Ferrous has RockShox Revelation 409 forks and SRAM X9 shifters, shimano derailleur in the front and SRAM in the back. Crank set is Bontrager.

Looks like a Gary Fisher Mullet if anything. Although it looks like someone repainted it/swapped the frame and tried to make it match.

Pretty sure it's not a Mullet. The Mullet started as a BMX bike, then was remade into a Mountain Bike (jump bike) and it has this rising, thick thing connecting the top tube and the seat tube. The above frame is a standard frame.

It's very well possible this is some sort of frankenbike but I would lean toward this being a Ferrous with some components having been switched out.
