I don't know who's slacking, but somebody's slacking. I really, really, really want to hit 20,000 this month. I've gotten to 15 or 16 k a few times but 20 k continues to elude me and IBO assures me there's a club.
Anyway, so far in SEPT - 101 miles, 7,990 feet.
Hopefully they open up Glendora Mountain soon, that's a key portion of my plan.

I almost got 6,000 in one day yesterday . Climbed Mont Ventoux again, 5,807ft in 13.64 miles, that was one tough climb!!!
I should have at least 25,000 for Sept.

This morning half my bike club chose a small ride because the long one had 1,100 feet of climbing over 35 miles and they didn't want to do the hills. I did the 35 and felt a sense of accomplishment. 6k over 13.6 miles would make them wet their beds I do believe.

I did 3,400 feet on Saturday, and I'm not sure for the rest of the month. This weekend I rode my bike to Sunrise.

Well, that sounds exciting! Isn't Sunrise higher than 3,400 feet though?
I'm a little jealous of your scenery though, it's all hot and brown down here right now.

The ride started a bit below 3,700 and then descended from there. It didn't dip much, but it was enough to force me to work on the way out.
Two young, fit, and very attractive ladies were on my tail for several miles. They passed me about 2/3 of the way to the top, and then turned around a hundred yards later and descended. I'm not sure if that's like passing someone on the MUP and turning immediately?
Speaking of scenery, it was 'an off day' for photography, but I got a couple pics for the "your bike near water" thread.

Fair amount of miles, but much of it in the valley. 11,165' and 321 miles so far this month. Planning on commuting all week. At over 2,000 ft a day, will kick my hill climbing totals into high gear.

I hope it doesn't mean I'm too predictable, or uninteresting, or a broken record. When I go out for Indian food, they don't even bother to bring me a menu anymore ... I'm noticing a trend here.
EDIT: They're Boyd 38 mm tubulars, though, not clinchers. But that's a tiny detail in an otherwise flawless profile.

Put the 28 tooth cassette on the back and rode a short 7.2 miles for dinner today. 1151' of climbing - 36 minutes

I've been softening my wife up for a while... I might have a shot at Christmas. (where's the finger cross smiley)
Tubies! Interesting, I didn't realize that. I was admiring jsigone's planet X tubies the other day. I'm just not sure I want to do my regular riding on tubulars, I don't know enough about them. I guess that means I can't ask you if you have to take any special precautions with tire levers on your carbon clinchers.

Maybe have platinum for 100k', rhodium for 75k' gold for 50k', silver for 40k', bronze for 30k', paper for 20k and a cheeseburger for 10k?
Now, who seconds the motion for Trojan being president?
Motion carried.
