seat posts

Any one use the seat post that has the suspension in it. Mine has but does not provide a nice ride since when I sit down on it is squishes down all the way till it stops. So no help there. There should be a better after market seat post that will support me. I'm 5' 10" at 250lbs. I'm a little on the muscular side but also over weight. Hopefully someone can help me with a better after market seat post I would like the suspension post but if I have to will go with a plain seat post.

in my limited experience the suspension seat post are a joke. Heavy and non effective.

Just get a good seatpost in either aluminum or carbon (assuming budget) and a seat that fits and go, go , go.

Plain seat post +1. Suspension seat posts are good on paper only, (just like padded saddles in my experience). Apparently they'd make your ride more comfortable but in reality they do the exact opposite.

I use a regular carbon fiber seatpost, the one that came with my bike. When I can't help going over something that will be jarring, I get up off the saddle.
