Goals are good. Checking them off is even better! Congrats. Looking forward to when you post about your first 5000 mile year!

Fabulous Scott. Your goals are similar to mine and I'm so glad I found biking again.

I wanna ride a half century!! Although I'm not sure I've hit a limit as far as endurance goes for me. Did 30 miles last weekend and didn't feel destroyed like I hear from others here after a tough ride. I'm thinking about 35 today.

Good job Scott! we will look forward to that Metric Century report from you!

If you can do 35 miles you can do a Century. The key is nutrition and hydration - there's a million threads on it. It also helps a lot to do it in a group or with a buddy. Motivation is the third leg of the triangle!

Rock and roll!

Great job Scott! I had the same 1000 miles goal (since July) and to do a metric century by November 1. I made both.

I'm thinking of goals for next season. Definitely a century or more than one, plus the equivalent of biking from New York City to LA or about 3200 miles from May 1 to Sept 30. It'd be about 125 miles a week.
